Lucasfilm had better accept the game proposal--any game, really--because that franchise needs a win to return to cultural relevance in the worst way.
And the path to relevance starts with remembering the character is a creature of the 40's serials. Taking him out of this era has never worked, has it?
So yes, setting it in the 40's; doing it in first person, doing the classic globe-trotting mystery/scavenger hunt... All the things the studio has been trying to leave behind...
...they look to be in the game.
So unless the story totally sucks, the game will be the hit LUCASFILM desperately needs. And maybe it'll remind the studio how to do right by the character.
