I am a fast ring insider. the preview build(s) worked great in my surface book. I am installing the latest one now.

Thanks for the reply, Peter! I think I am going to jump in to it tomorrow or Saturday, assuming I don't read any horror stories here.

No horror stories from me. I have been running fast ring releases on my SB for the last two months and haven't found anything that really upsets me. The inking features are fantastic.

I did have some display problems that I finally discovered were rooted in the physical connection between Dock and monitor. There are some residual display problems on external monitors that apparently relate to firmware rather than OS version. I think you would run into those as part of the current release as well.

I'd say go ahead and try it. If you don't like it, you can just roll back and wait a month before the actual wide release of what is now an advanced beta of the development version of the OS.
