Instagram app on PC for Windows which versions support it?

I am running Windows 8.1 on my HP notebook. Will the Instagram app that was reviewed here load and run in W8.1 in addition to W10?

As far as I know, it'll only install on Windows 10, along with the updated Facebook and Messenger apps
