For the most part, if the hardware could run Windows Vista or 7, it can run 10.

There are some exceptions here and there, but the i3 isn't one of them.

Also keep in mind that the i3/5/7 names are applied to several generations of Core i products. A Core i5 from 2014 (4th or 5th generation I believe?) isn't the same as one from a computer that's new.

Anyways, don't worry about it yet, I have a Core 2 Duo that predates the i3 and no sign of dropped support yet. Even then, you'll have a lot of time to move on if it comes down to it. Windows 7 and 8.1 are still supported for a while longer. Microsoft isn't updating devices with Clover Trail Atoms inside to versions of Windows 10 newer than the Anniversary Update, but will still be issuing security and quality updates through 2023.
