internet sharing

As far as I know, this is impossible. I don't know of any multicast receivers for phones.

In order to use the wifi-antenna for a hotspot you can't use ut with a regular wlan (the phone disables it). For that you would need two internal antennas (NICs).

If you turn off Mobile Data, then the Mobile Hotspot simply won't activate. The whole idea of a mobile hotspot is to share your mobile data. If you're needing to bridge an existing Wi-Fi connection, or use it as a "router" to connect your laptop to your printer, then you need to invest in something more specific for those needs.

If i use "share it" app then a wifi or hotspot zone is necessary.then what i do?if i turn on mobile data then it is possible otherwise not.and in this case charge will be deduct.so for any file transfer using "share it" i will be paid?but other os like "android" it is very eassy......pls tell me the right way.....

So are you trying to share files from your phone to another device? Can you not use Bluetooth to simply send them? Or is it the case that the device you are sending to doesn't have Bluetooth, only Wi-Fi?

Hi,
Preface EDIT: To be clear, I haven't tried this way before now, because I use OneDrive to move everything around between the various devices I use. That way, I am not limited to one type of device - anything that can access the web can get to One Drive. That said, I see where having no web access but having wi-fi access can happen.

I am trying these various options on wifi to see what works. You may wish to try them as well.

So far, I can only get flyer to move files from the phone to my Win7 PC, not from the PC to the W10M phone.

EDIT: Easy Transfer allows me to move files from PC to phone and phone to PC.

That is right for data transfer phone to pc using OneDrive.but windows phone to windows phone or windows phone to android phone what is the best way for data transfer (neglect Bluetooth)?

Install easy transfer.
Search in the windows store. It does not require the other device to have this software.

Regarding hotspot issue in windows phone 8.1 if you turn on mobile data and then internet sharing then hotspot is created which remains even if you turn off the mobile data.
So in windows phone 8.1 you can actually create hotspot without worrying of data charges but this feature is not available in wm10. It turned off automatically when mobile data is turned off.

Not sure what the definition of "best" is but if both phones have SD cards and the amount of data is several (or more) GB then the fastest way is to get the SD card out of the phones and place them in a PC and copy it from one to the other SD card.
