Is there another way to share multiple photos from a windows 8 phone to a SG5 without using NFC seeing it don't work for photos?

Not as direct as you want but you could share through OneDrive? (WP8 uploads to a OneDrive album and shares a link to the SG5 user, I think SG5 user could then download the photos).

Have you tried Bluetooth sharing? I can't remember what is available in WP8.
