Is anyone else having issues with their Messaging app with the new .36 update?

I updated my Lumia 810 yesterday to the new .36 update and ever since then the messaging app keeps crashing. I don't receive text messages, and can't open the messaging application at all. When I click on it to open, it just goes to a blank screen with my background image. Even when I go to Cortana and say "open messaging" Cortana crashes. Besides that the update is working well, everything else besides messaging works ( I can make phone calls, and open the people app, but if I try to "send message" through the people app nothing happens.)

Is anyone else having this issue? I think I might just have to reset my phone.
