Is Cortana reminder supposed to talk to you when it is time?

Me : remind me " to go to home depot at 4.30 pm."
Cortana : "Alright."

When 4.30 pm comes; is she supposed to talk to you saying; You need to go to home depot..
or she only gives a beep at the time of the reminder?

Me too, a ding is pointless, audio interaction would be much better. "You're appointment is in 15 minutes"

You can change the sound for reminders in Settings => ringtones+sounds. You could make a custom ringtone (maybe even record Cortana's voice) and use that for reminders, but it wouldn't be dynamic like I think you're looking for. I agree that would be cool. Maybe they'll implement that, or an interface for an app to do it, in a future update or release.

I also agree that would be much better than just the basic alarm. Personally I could set a reminder on calendar myself and have the same outcome, would rather set it via Cortana and then Cortana tell me what the event or reminder is by voice.
Lets hope Microsoft listen to us and implement it
