Is information stored in OneNote online encrypted

Is information stored in www.onenote.com (OneNote online) encrypted or can you force the information to be encrypted?

Re: Is information stored in OneNote online encrypted

Anything on the cloud is encrypted. If you want additional protection oneNote 2016 part of the office package offers password protecting individual notebooks.

Re: Is information stored in OneNote online encrypted

If I update my OneNote files using OneNote Online (so not locally using OneNote client) then the comment about password protecting sections does not apply, correct? Also, if using the browser to edit OneNote files does anything get pulled or saved locally (e.g. a local cache)?
