Is it possible to downgrade official firmware windows 8.1 lumia cyan to windows phone 8?

I am experiencing some problems with 8.1 cyan and I was wondering if downgrade is possible?

If you started with wp 8.0 then yes, but if you bought a phone with 8.1 installed then i doubt it
