Is it possible to update the OS in Lumia 638 from windows 8.1 to Denim in India?

Hey Gowri.. Microsoft has no plans to push denim for Lumia 638 in India.

Does this jeopardize continued software support for this phone by MS, possibly not bringing even windows 10? Just bought this phone out of blind belief that MS wouldn't skimp on updating any of it's models, especially one that has 1 GB RAM as the 638. Feeling short changed for the first time since I put my trust in MS.

It depends. Could be some joe in management deciding to skip over it because of its relative lack of users.
I'm sure it'll see 10. Honestly I wouldn't expect some move like that, but eh, I don't know what's going on inside.

in microsofts list, lumia 638 is listed for windows 10 update. but denim is not yet ca=ome. so with tht hope i purchased this budget friendly phone last week.
