If I remember correctly, the surface RT was Gorilla Glass, I suppose that Surface 2 are too?

Yes, I believe it is Gorilla Glass 2. I'm surprised they didn't go with Gorilla Glass 3, but the panel on the first was pretty durable to begin with.

I see no reason as to why they would exclude Gorilla Glass. What type they're using beats me, but I can assure you with 99% certainty, it's Gorilla Glass. They'd be crazy not to use it, seeing as pretty much all mobile electronics use it these days.
