Is the brightness bug in Lumia 550 using Window 10 Anniversary 14393.189.

On Lumia 550 the new build of window 10 anniversary update 14393.189 doesn't use percentages anymore (0,25,50,75,100). Instead it says "darkest,darker,brighter,brightest" and it seems to work better than the old build 14393.89. Brightness itself adjusted to low mode. Auto & Manual mode both are freezing. After getting restarted the brightness is working fine. But in a day 4-5 times
i did restarting and soft reset my lumia 550.

It might be related to the firmware update and not necessarily the OS update

I've not heard of others experiencing the issue

OK. May be its due to firmware update . But why this bug is not come on the Window 10 anniversary update 14393.82.
But firmware update is not through over the air. it is working through WDRT. that is lengthy process.

I'm not sure why the bug is affecting the OP and not anyone else - his update might have gone wrong during installation - maybe the next update can fix this
I don't like recommending a factory reset as it involves a lot of work

could be a UI change, where the percentage has been replaced by texts for better understanding of the user. It could have been a bug where you would have had no control or there would have been no text or numbers to measure brightness.
