Is the "Play To" feature broken?

I have a 2520 on the most up to date OS, of 8.1. Im trying to cast to my Roku 3. 90% of the time, it wont see my Roku or it will just hang while attempting to connect. I've only gotten it to connect once but it immediately dropped the connection.

On the other hand, my Lumia 1520 works flawlessly. As does my Nexus 7 2013.

Any advice?

It works sometimes for me. I really think the feature just has issues on multiple devices. It works off and on on my HTC One m8 and the 2520 so I really don't think it is the transmitting device. I think it is the quality of the receiving device.

Could be. I don't know. I think Miracast is new to the Roku, but it worked nearly flawlessly connected to my Nexus 7 and 1520.

I'll have a Fire TV next week, to try too.
