just a bit curious if the pogo is totally new. My guess is yes it's totally new and not compatible.

What is a pogo? If you are asking if the Go can use the Surface 3 keyboard, the answer is no. If you’re asking something else, never mind.

Thanks Libby. Bummer that they aren't compatible. Was hopping for a bigger keyboard when not on the go.

Pogo pins are the brail like pins that connect all surface keyboards to the actual surface hardware.

The black one is the go.... Cobalt is the pro 2017

interesting, I wonder why the board has extra two pins. Is that do to the switch to usb-c?

(pure speculation)

in the past my surface 3 would flip out and disconnect the keyboard. immediately my surface would tell me usb device disconnected. it might have been the very reason Surface pro wasn't updated to a dedicated usbc port. Maybe Microsoft didn't update the port because they didn't want to invest in a new keyboard connection... anyways.
