WPCentral Question

Hello all,

Been a proud ATIV S user for bit more than a year, but due a couple of facts, I'm wondering if I shouldn't leave the platform. I'd like to show my analysis and have your feedback on it to decide whether or not I should stay on WP Platform.

My analysis goes as follows:

1. Lack of high-end phones is crippling to me. I want decent stats, even if I have to pay a premium price, but I never see the right combination (existing or planned). High-end Nokias lack SD card support, unless going phablet and don't look as premium as a HTC One (M8) for Windows.
2. One national provider exclusivities (like Verizon and the HTC One for Windows) are a bad signal for international public. Makes me feel like a second-class Citizen, but I still pay the full price. And most brands adventuring in the WP world only make entry- or medium-level phones.
3. Updates have been promised for most WP8 phones to WP8.1. I can gather that some phones don't meet the minimum requirements due to bad choices by the manufacturer, but, unless they are Nokias, most phones wait for way too long for updates.
In that respect, I think Microsoft should have a team which has all variations of every Windows phone, test updates, give feedback to the manufacturers to adapt the firmwares. Once all bugs are straightened out, Microsoft should be the only diffuser of the updates. Updates should be able to be done through the USB connection on a computer too, instead of OTA (so one can avoid the provider culprit).
4. I know MS is a huge corporation, and that every team is more or less independant from another, but when some MS developped apps have better support/more functionalities on the Android/iOS phones than the MS ones, I feel something is wrong. There should be a unity, a common goal in that corporation.
5. I don't know how MS should accomplish it, but way too many useful apps launch for Android/iOS, and rarely for WP. Or, when they get developped for WP as well, it rarely gets mentioned.
6. Aside from random quirks, I am content of my Ativ S. Sometimes I have random reboots (maybe power button too sensitive), I seem to have average signal coverage (often colleagues get internet or phone calls whereas I lose signal, SAR related?) and photographing quality is average, but it's a nice experience. The Tiles and how they work are excellent and are prolly what has been keeping me from Android phones (won't get iOS phones ever, Apple may milk their cattle of fanboys, but I ain't paying 4 times the price of what it costs them to produce).

All in all, I think there's a lack of motivation from all actors on the scene (MS, phone manufacturers, app coders), and I start losing motivation too.
Anyone knows if this will change, or is it an old, big machine that takes aeons to change course?

Thank you for your time readin this and hoping for constructive comments.

If MS will not make changes sooner I'm gonna leave the platform and just use the apps from MS on a different platform, which is way way better than the windows phone version,
