Is there a way to activate maps by tapping the address in contact?

is there a way to activate map by tapping the address in contact?

this works in android phone. so far i haven't been able to get it done in windows phone. did i overlook something?

I just added address to a contact and was able to click on it to prompt maps to load. What version of Windows Phone are you running? And was the address added in the Address field under Hotmail account? I used that specific field running WP8.1.

I did the same as ^^^ and the map also opened. What could be preventing it is;
- you have no internet (data or wifi) connection. (I have offline maps but if I switch off wifi and cellular data MAPS can not find the address. (error "can not find it in your offline maps"
- You are in a country which has no map support (like Pakistan I think)
- ???
