To cut a long story short, I have been running a competition for one of the apps that I am responsible for. I just assumed that you were able to purchase a gift card in a different currency to my local currency (A massive oversight on my part!). I have reached out to Microsoft but they have been less then helpful.
Has anyone encountered and found a way around this problem? If so would you mind sharing it with me? If there is no way round it, I will probably have to fall back to paypal but it seems a little unprofessional to me.
From a dev marketing point of view I think Microsoft should take a look at this area, Microsoft's biggest market may be North America but that is not necessarily the same case for the devs that support the Windows platform.
