Is there something to protect the Microsoft Band 2 from splitting into two pieces in the rubber band?

Is there something to protect microsoft band 2 to split en 2 pieces in the rubber band?

I recently bought my firs MS2, im still waiting for it, but right now im reading a lot of people that had big problems with tears and breaks in the band.
Is there something i can do to avoid it?

i think the first generation Band 2 had inferior material and may split.

my replacement one is perfect, and slightly different to the original one

Purchased mine in December 2015, currently awaiting second replacement due to band splitting - no extreme sports, bit of cycling, bit of motorcycling and general every day use. First split was close to the join near the 'face' second on opposite side near MS logo near clasp. no reason other than possible design/material flaw. Am wondering how many I will rack up before warranty expires.:angry:

i got a new (2 year) warranty with my replacement band2

Hello zeit20t, do you think microsoft changed the material of the band in you replacement?

yeah i do, the old and new feel different. and the new one hasnt got half as many marks on it from day to day use

If I were you, return for full refund if w/in 45 days, or store credit. New Band 3 should be in Oct...short time to wait for superior device
