Isses with xbox music, what are my options?

Not sure if this is the right place, but i didn't see a spot for general windows phone discussion. If in the wrong place, please move.
I use a 920 and have for a long time.
I just think i've about had it with playing my music through the included xbox music app.

It was one thing when i just used it with my headphones while cutting my lawn (i have a rather large lawn).

But now that one of my car stereos have an input and the xbox music app has been driving me nuts.

The random play is horrible, sometimes it will play the same song 3 times during a ride and others not at all.
I get error messages saying it can't play a song, other times it plays it fine.
I also get a message sometimes saying it can't fetch the rights to a song.

This is all music at some point i have payed for on itunes or on my windows phone, no DRM (none illegally downloaded either) that work fine sometimes on my windows phone, just not all the time.

Are there other good music playback apps that are simple and effective?
I don't want to fiddle with my damn phone over and over while driving, it's almost as bad as texting while driving.
