My Surface Pen worked beautifully for the first few hours of use today. Then just an hour ago, the top button stopped working. EDIT: I realized what the issue was and have solved it. However, I have another question: Does Bluetooth have to be on for the pen to work? May seem like a stupid question, but when I disabled BT I didn't notice any change in functionality (although I didn't try the onenote button)

I don't think BT is needed beyond the OneNote clicker functionality. I say this because the $6.00 HTC Scribe pen I purchased works fine without syncing anything... just needs the AAAA battery. Not a stupid question because I spent 45 minutes trying to find sync instructions for that HTC pen (it wasn't working) but couldn't find anything. Turns out it was simply a bad/old battery and there was nothing to sync. :-/

So, you're saying it's needed for the clicker?
