Here's a link to an article posted today detailing the so-called "Juggernaut Alpha":

http://pocketnow.com/2015/08/17/microsoft-surface-phone-specs

What do you guys think of this report? I have never even heard of the website from which this originates; is it even a trustworthy / credible source?

Looks nice... except for the low end ATOM x3 SoC. I have doubts about the capability of that SoC to handle the screen resolution and the camera sensor.

If it's real it should be packing a custom high end Atom x5 at least.

With a starting name like Juggernaut Alpha... It'd better be real.

I'm looking forward to the new Lumias as much as anyone, but if Microsoft really wants to wow people, a Surface phone is needed. Make something that looks as fancy, or fancier, than the iPhone.

1000% fake
Atom x3 is a 28nm chip which can only handle 5mp front and 13mp rear cameras and 1080p video and display, nowhere near the supposed specs.
Also, very sloppy reporting and faking, took me 1 minute to look up the x3 specs on Intel.com

BTW, Intel's platform brief for the x5/7 says they also support no more than 13mp, guess those two really are meant just for tablets and not for smartphones.

The rumor is 100% true as long as it's a rumor. These pseudo-journalists can't survive on actual reporting and rely on web hits to stay relevant.
