JUMP! and BYOD on T-Mobile

I currently use Jump! with T-Mobile and it's pretty great. I have an unlocked Lumia 635 that I am using on Wifi only right now - when I am next eligible to Jump, is it possible to get an ultra-cheap phone (think like $3 EIP monthly payments) and just throw the sim in my unlocked Lumia 635?
I bought the thing for $40 on black friday and it doens't make sense to pay for another 635 through T-Mobile when I already have one. Just want to make sure this isn't the type of thing they'd be wise to and shut down my service or something. I want to keep my Jump eligibility alive so if they do come out with something better than the 635 I can jump to that.

Yes the current 635 will work fine even after you get a cheap device to keep your JUMP eligibility.

Nice! Now it's just a matter of finding out if we can use our Jump on a Lumia 530. Could have sworn I saw it in the store next to the 635, but it doesn't show up on T-Mobile online.

I have read here at WC that Microsoft Store can apply AT&T next... So I tried for Jump, but got a hazy reply.
