from ebay for my wife. Looking foward to many conversations with the group here. Personally I'm holding out for the Nokia phone early next year.

Ok, so I give her the phone and she's like "where's the keyboard?" I was initially looking at the DVP, but ultimately decided against it as no one could give me a good reason for getting it. The focus has always gotten great reviews so this is why I ended up getting it. The next thing she complains about is that "it's not an Android phone". So after messing with the phone a bit she tells me about how much easier it is to text w/ this vs her iphone. She loves the live tiles and the ability to group her contacts. I'm sure there'll be more things she'll enjoy once she has had the chance to really play with it. I think win 7.5 is a winner!

Great comments boneycat1. Just supports the idea that if you can get a user to think beyond iPhone and Android, WP has a fair chance. All it needs is a level playing field. The OS will take care of of the rest.

Also just got my first Focus off eBay for a great deal. I'm really happy with it so far. I was lucky enough to get a 1.3, so just updated to Mango and this thing is a blast. Beats my old iPhone 3GS for sure. Can't wait to spend some real time getting to know the OS.

I just have to say I've had a Focus since day 1, and I love it. So amazing and fast especially after the mango update, and this post is perfect. I agree I love it way more than Android, and I'm torn between it and the iOS but I completely agree that texting seems faster and smoother and the auto correct is almost always spot on. The tech and OS is so fast on the original Focus. It's nice to see that your wife came around :)

Got my Focus 1.3 almost a week ago and enjoying everything so far. I'm really giving a shot for WP OS because I just think it's really slick. I have yet to come across anything that begs for me to go back to my iPhone (which I still have) and I've had them all from the first aluminum 2G to the 4. I don't think there's any apps that I use often enough to become a deal-breaker other than a GPS tracking app for running, which I now have RunKeeper for.

I really love the bigger screen. I was eventually gonna leave the i4 and one of the big factors is screen size. 3.5" is adequate no doubt, but I prefer bigger screen and the Super AMOLED on the Focus is just beautiful (the blacks are so pitch black!).

I went to the Verizon store today and played with their handful of android phones and would love to have one. But the fluid experience and simplistic approach of Metro UI has me sorta spoiled. The only phones I would really consider owning are the iPhone, Focus (S or not)/Titan, or Galaxy Nexus.

Glad to be enjoying my WP7.5 experience so far.

I find myself constantly playing w/ her phone (focus). I asked her if she wanted to trade me her Focus for my iphone 4 and she said "h ell no". Actually it was more like "H ELL NO!!!". I'm holding out for the Nokia, but I might not be able to w/ the phones selling for a penny this coming Sat...

I like this post....I am going to trade phones (HTC Inspire for a Focus) later on tonight, and I am looking forward to it. I am getting bored with android and want something new and fresh.
