Just preordered it as my first WP device (advise)

I've made the plunge to upgrade from my Iphone 5.

I've been on Android since 1.6 and IOS since IOS 3.

So I thought I'll try something different.

Anyone recommend this?

Now for real, great move. If this device has the same power the 920 has, you will enjoy it.

I've made the plunge to upgrade from my Iphone 5.

Exactly what I did - got my Lumia 930 one week ago (last friday)... and don't regret I have moved from iPhone 5 / iOS!
But honestly I can only speak for myself, it's definitely up to you if you like WP as it is imho something completely different to iOS, and for sure you should find out if all apps are available for WP you had on iOS...

Same here, here's my journey

- iPhone 3GS - iPhone 5
- Samsung Galaxy S3 - S4
- Nexus 5
- Lumia 930

I have to say there's times where I miss a certain feature from Android but I guess you just have to live with the differences. What I'm trying to do is find the quirks with some of the apps and build my own apps for the functionality.

This is the main reason I went to WP since I'm a .NET developer and would like to start building apps for the platform. (My first app - forums.wpcentral.com/windows-phone-apps/293116-pushbullet-wp-8-1-a.html)
