Keep internet sharing (tether) permanently active even without connections?

Hi guys. I'm running 8.1 dev prev currently. I want the internet sharing to stay on all the time without automatically turning off even when there are no connections. How do I do this? Thanks.

I don't think it can be done. As wireless internet sharing consumes a lot of battery power, it just switches off when there is no data transfer. But I am not sure I there is a way to keep it running when there are no connections.

Agreed, it canes the battery so will only stay on when connected. Would be pointless otherwise as, when you came to actually use it, the battery would be knackered - not to mention just using your phone for a phone call or whatever. And the phone would get really hot. Not good.
