Last night, my Asus Q550LF laptop was updated by Windows 10. When the update finished, it required a restart. Instead of waiting for it to restart when inactive (or later), I manually restarted my system. When Windows 10 completed bootup, my keyboard and touchpad did not work. I tried restarting the system, but no change. I even tried interrupting the bootup process, but nothing. I finally used the online keyboard with the touchscreen and was able to login. In the device manager, it shows a yellow exclamation mark for the keyboard and touchpad. I tried to update the driver, but no help. I uninstalled the driver to try and let windows discover and install, but no change. Any idea what happened? I refuse to believe my keyboard AND touchpad died at the exact same time. Thanks for your help!

I'm copying over my files to an external drive and am going to try a few things. After that, I guess I'll give up and do a clean reinstall of Windows
