L 640 Any way to stop getting updates? Hard drive is full

I would like to know how to get my Lumia to stop downloading monthly updates. I only have 100 mb left on my internal hd and each month the updates make the os take up more space...

There's not real solution to stop update. But you could use the newly released "over the cable updater". that should deal with the "no free space" problem:

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately it got to step 24/150 on the "sending" phase and gave me an error stating: "log collection failed"

It looks like the update package is 650 MB, so do I need to have 650 MB free on my phone for it to successfully install? If so, that won't be possible for me without a hard reset which I am not willing to do...

I think with the past couple updates I have the update downloaded on the "system" part of my phone but I don't have enough space to actually install the updates. Is there any way to delete the old updates sitting in the system folder wasting space? Ugh, so frustrating!
