[L735] Battery Advice?

Hello,

I have tried to use the Cycle GPS app on the 735 for mapping a cycle ride by GPS. I only got 2 hours battery life for almost full.

I also note that when using Here drive with just GPS the battery life is 4 - 5 hours.

Does anybody have any advice on improving this duration. Can I purchase a better battery. Does anybody have any tips for saving battery life?

4-5 hours is really good for navigation!!!
GPS tracking and calculating needs alot of juice, there is nothing you can change! Nothing.

GPS drains the battery fast. That cycle app will drain less if you turn off the map display (just user the text display). Or even better turn off the display which is okay because you still have voice navigation.

I was wondering if this is possible. To turn of the display that is. I have just bought the Lumia 735 so am unfamiliar with the controls.

How do I turn off the display or the map please?
