Latest Netfront browser 3.5 working well on Redfly

Interesting, does it run faster than opera 6.5? does anyone have video footage of netfront running on a redfly. i like opera 6.5 but its a tad slow at times *sigh* if only 9.5 was out and also compatible.

we should have a list of compatible browsers (with video footage) showing speed and rendering using the redfly with hsdpa/3g/wifi

I don't have actual statistics but when I used Netfront 3.5, it feels at least as fast as Opera 9.5.

In my testing, there is no noticable speed difference between NetFront 3.5 beta and Opera 8.65, with and without my Redfly. The only exception is certain websites, when I'm completing an online form (textbox). NetFront and Iris blow away Opera 8.65 when completing a text box form with a lot of detail. ( the form is a specific online Customer Support application, the text box is the same as that used to post to a typical forum, but with significantly more data pre-populated in the text box).

Netfront isn't for sale yet, and I don't have a ton of experience with Opera 9 (was uninstalled long before I got my Redfly due to the buggy nature of the beta - which is expected with an early beta). I do find myself using Netfront more when connected to the the redfly than Opera 8.65, because it does a better job on some of the web based apps I work with than Opera 8.65 does.

I guess, to really summarize it, until Opera 9 is closer to a RC build, and it works on the Redfly, I don't thinks any fair comparison can be made. The Netfront beta is until Feb 2009.
