Way back in Jan, 2013, when I newly purchased my Lumia 920. Nokia music was amazing, with 1 hour of listening to music, could only take 2-3% of battery power. However, as Nokia kept on updating music, it became terrible where 1 hour of music happened to take 15-20% of battery. Even when I stop the music using 3rd party App the battery drain was fast.

Last night when I again updated to latest version of Nokia music. I was amazed that, an 45 minutes of music could hardly take 1% of battery. Is it possible that previous update made Nokia Music buggy that even after stopping the music, it happened to consume memory in background? Please share your thoughts on this

hmm, It seems to be the unchanged for me. I really like the new settings and personal features. My battery consumption over 3G with Nokia Music is still the same around 5 - 10% variations. I will check on wifi too.

However, this recent mysterious audio update has screwed up everything. Today when I played music the battery again started draining within an hour reached from 56% to 40%. The device was hot while playing music. Even when I stopped music, the battery kept on draining fast and within half an hour reached 29%. The worst of all when I was in 30 minutes meeting and when I took my handset out from my pocket, the device was still warm and to my shock, only 8% battery was remaining. So I had to perform a soft reset. This soft reset has become a part of life, once or twice a week I have to perform it. With my previous N900 there wasen't a single occasion when I had to perform a reset.

WP8 is a good OS, but its still unstable, has a lot of bugs. This heat and random battery drain has become a part of life now. I will be honest, Windows can never reach even close to MAC in terms of multi, tasking, optimization, memory leak and STABILITY etc. Look at iPhone 4 even with 512MB RAM it can play most of the games. Look at Mac book Pro 15, no matter how many instance of browser you open, it will always run smooth. I have never seen any application or system to freeze with Mac OS. With Windows, IE itself freezes the whole system most of the time
