This sounds like complete baloney. A “press release” at best.

What else is this “OS” going to do? Run all Windows software? How is that going to happen? Linux + Wine? Good luck with that.

Lenovo has no history of software development at all. Let alone OS development.

This makes as much sense as the press release a few months ago - which I read here - by some company that proclaimed a new type of home Wi-Fi using light instead of radio. The announcement was saying “Wi-Fi at the speed of light!”, which was the most ridiculous thing I have read in a LONG time.

First, light does not go through anything. Like walls. Existing radio Wi-Fi does. So you would need a “light Wi-Fi” thing on the ceiling in every room of your house.

Second, radio waves ARE ALREADY AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT. ”Light” and “radio waves” are the same thing. The only difference is frequency. What we call “light” are just visible radio waves. I pointed out all of this in a comment to the original ridiculous story here.
