Local backup & exact same fields w/Office

Isn't it incredible with the New IPhone 5, the Samsung GS3 and Note 2 attracting many of us, MS expects people to just wait for what? It's like Waiting for Godot with really nothing said to keep many of us interested in WP8. For the average person, non business, I don't see what WP8 or any of the WPs have that all the others don't have in spades. The only thing that WP could have that none of the others have is a direct link to Windows and Office with no necessary changes, mappings, file inconsistencies or third party programs. Yet MS tells those of us who could be their only loyal supporters nothing.
