Considering, If I am able to get 1520 at that price. I own a 1020, and on windows 10, performance is just clumbersome. Camera is pretty much slow, and now feels old enough for me to think it 40mp is not worth that much time. I am thinking of 1520 since, I don't think any other phone as good looking, high performance as 1520, given the price.

you can get a 1520 for 200 USD? nice!
bare in mind that you are not really "future-proof" with a x20 phone

^^^ Why not? It's got SD800, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, way better than all 5xx,6xx,7xx,8xx and 920/925/1020.

I'd get a Lumia 650 for that money. Why buy outdated devices which don't get much future support?

Because the 1520 blows the 650 out of the water in most every regard and is still a last gen high end model which can counter the support argument considering more recent, cheaper x30 series have been dropped and not the 1520.

1520 was the most enjoyable phone, along with the Ativ S, I've used on Windows. It is BIG though. W10M insider preview worked just fine on it. I was fortunate to buy mine from a trusted source here on WC and had no touch issues, which I think was the biggest con for that phone.

Check the lists that are gonna be upgraded to windows 10 then go from there. All except the 650 and 950/xl won't worry about since it's already a windows 10 ready device. Screen size? Processor? SD capable? Etc... For under $200 1520, 930, Icon(929), 925 or 640xl.
