Looking for help rooting LG-C900

So I get handed is LG-C900 the other day with a T-mobile carrier running Windows 7. I have a little trouble finding a Windows Phone 7 Connector that will run on my OSX 10.6 but find an older version that will work and upgrade the phone's OS to 7.10.7 its running with a Bootloader Version 1.5.1. Coming from an IPhone and Android I'm looking for some tweaks and homebrew for the Windows phone OS. I know the phone is older and not that great but figured it would be fun to mess around with and see what I can do with it. So I look around on the google machine but can't seem to find an answer on if I can root the phone from a OSX operating system. I'm breaking down and creating a post asking for your guys/gals helps and suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'd love to be able to turn this phone its a fun project nothing crazy just some homebrew and tweaks. Thanks in advance

Not at my disposal at the moment, the one that i do have is so old it runs XP (thanks mom) but I can get a hold of one this weekend, I was hoping it could be done on a Mac to give me something to do with my lame Friday night. I'm headed to a friends tomorrow who has a 7 machine any step by step vids on youtube that are recommended?
