Quite a long time ago, like 15 years, I found a British pop band on the site MP3.COM. For those who don't know it's a site where bands and artists can upload demo songs etc to make them available to the public. The band was called 'The captain UK experience' . There I downloaded the three songs that in my opinion was very good and you could also buy one of their albums in mp3 format. Online shopping I thought was not as secure back then as it is today so I chickened out on buying that record using my credit card. A few years later I got to thinking about that record again and went back to mp3.com to find the band again but now they had vanished into thin air. I can't find any information about them on the net either. Since I know we have a lot of British people here I just thought I could ask if anyone here ever heard about this band, what happened to them and, maybe most importantly, if there's any way to get the hold of that record. The three songs that I downloaded from that album was called 'Love you, hate you',Loosing sleep' and 'It's funny'. Anyone recognize this?

Sorry not familiar with this band. Just wondering though, have you tried Shazam or something similar to see if it recognizes it. Perhaps it will give you the info you're looking for. Might be worth a shot if you haven't.

Yes Yes Yes!

I am Tom, from "The Captain UK Experience".

So many stories.

I'd love to send you a copy of the CD.

Get in touch.

Now it's things like this that makes me like the internet again. :)

Any place to hear your music? I'd be interested in hearing something.

Google leads you to Grooveshark and other streaming providers

I've got the three songs that I downloaded way back.
@Tom, with your permission maybe I could share them on SkyDrive or something. It's 128 kbit/s mp3 files but with quite good quality anyway. They're on my phone right now but I could not upload them. Is it possible to share other things than pictures and documents via SkyDrive? I've never tried it.

I would like to echo the original poster's comments - I really enjoyed your stuff on mp3.com too and if you had an mp3 of It's Funny then I'd love to hear it again, I remember it being a brilliant song!

There has unfortunately not been any progress at all regarding the album that Tom spoke about. Bummer. But I'll share the three songs I have for you to enjoy. I'll fix this as soon as I can.
