Low quality preview in camera apps

I am lucky enough to test a 1520 with 8.1, but ever since I made the switch from my 920, I cannot help but be bothered with the low resolution preview on the device. When using any camera app, the preview is very low res. With preview I mean what you see on your screen when using the camera. Will this be fixed in the feature, or will we have to endure this low res preview?

Previews are always low res on any device you use AFAIK, even DSLRs. It requires a lot of power to preview realtime high res images.

Hm, maybe it's more obvious because of the 6" full HD screen on the 1520. It's a shame though.
