Low res taskbar icon

I've built my Windows 10 app in VS, but the app icon in the taskbar is really low resolution. I've supplied all the app manifest images in the correct sizes - any ideas what I can do?

I would try with a generic graphic (circle tool) to see if it's the graphic itself or VS

I had this problem as well. It turns out I had not included the 48 x 48 visual asset, so the system was using my 24 x 24 asset and scaling it up.
