My battery will be 100% at noon ... I will hardly use it ... ignore it ... and wake up next morning with TOTALLY ZERO battery. Requires 5 minutes to get enough juice to turn on.

This does NOT happen all the time. But it has happened about 4 times since I upgraded to 8.1/Cyan about 2-3 months ago. NEVER happened before the upgrade. Have had 1020 for a year. Normally get 2-3 days of battery life. Satisfied with battery performance.

I always "X-out" of active apps ... so I NEVER leave anything running. Otherwise EVERYTHING is set to "background disabled" except Battery Saver, MSN Weather, and Cortana.

I have MSN Weather set up for Glance, so it is also my lock screen image.

Battery usage data in Battery Saver sheds no light.

Seems to happen SAME day after reaching a full charge. If I get past that first day, I am trouble-free, with normal battery drain.

Any thoughts?

I have had similar issues lately, so any help would be great. My phone will just start draining battery during the day and become quite warm. Restarting the phone doesn't usually help either. Didn't have these problems before 8.1/Cyan.

Also do you have double tap to wake and high sensitivity enable on your phone? Do you have a screen protector installed on your phone as well?

After full charge before bedtime:
1. Restart phone.
2. Enable battery saver mode to On.
3. Disable most (if not all) unnecessary apps from running in background via battery saver.
4. Disable double-tap to wake.
5. Disable Location (if u don't use Cortana).
6. End any running apps in the background @ multitask.

I will usually get 0-2% for my 8hours sleep every night.
