Lumia 1020 totally dead

my lumia 1020 is totally bricked but the windows soft key is lighting up when the charger is plugged in. I have tried the soft and hard reset and also every charger I own. any ideas before I send it back?

Try recovering your phone using the Nokia Recovery Tool

thanks I tried it but the phone does not get picked up by the computer.

No I do not know for sure it was fine and then it wasn't but with the 1020 is not easy to check if the battery is good.

The software has another option which allows you to detect a bricked phone. Try that maybe.

If after trying gunjaninvit's suggestion you find that the phone is not bricked, then, if the charger is good and the USB lead is good, the next link in the chain is the battery. Difficult or not, youll have to test it!

Use the computer and log into windows/find my phone. After that restart your phone from your computer and try from there

The tools required to get your device up and running are not possessed by you, the only way to get it fixed is by sending it to an "official" Nokia Care Center.

Before doing anything, leave it plugged in for a bit. Your thing tells me that the battery is simply really dead and needs time to charge.
