Lumia 520 music and messaging crash

Hello fellas,I own a nokia lumia 520 and recently i've been experiencing a very annonying bug on my phone.Everytime i try to play a mp3 file or a video,it doesnt allow me to.if i open my mp3 player it crashesh directly,if i open my mp3 download app and try to play a file it just doeant play it ,if i try to play a downloaded video from an app it says zune must be closed(whats the h is zune i dont even have an application with that name) and the other main problem is that cant use my messaging properly because it crashesh when its opened the same way the mp3 player does and sometimes it prevents me from receiving texts.This happens on a random occasion,i mean sometimes it all works but lately most of the time doesnt.Any help would be apprecietet.

very simple and may have been done already, but have you soft reset?

Press and hold the power and volume down keys for 10-15 seconds, or until the phone vibrates.
