Lumia 520 or 820. Which should I get ?

The 820 is more expensive but does it give me more practical everyday features/options/settings than the 520 ,making it worth paying more for ?

I here that the 520 has a better camera than the 820, better battery life, is it true ?

I'm not so intelligent when it comes to wp but I would believe its like Android where every phone is pretty much the same with minimal differences/advantages when comparing budget with flagship, (so you should just get the cheapest one you see as it gives more or less the same user experience as the flagship) is it the same for wp ?

820 is much better all the way around. 520 is great at 80 bucks, but the 820 can be found for under 150 on craigs list and 920 for just a few dollars more. All good choices, it just depends what you want to spend.

I have the same doubt as you and my only problem with both phones is the storage. Only 5GB of usable storage just isn't enough for me and there's not a single Lumia phone that has at least 16GB because it jumps all the way to 32 with the 920 that is quite expensive here in Mexico.

What about battery life ? Isn't the 520 MUCH better in this regard ?

I know you probably have already gotten your phone; but as the owner of both a 820 and a 520 the 820 is way worth the extra money. 520 is nice; but the 820 is much better. Much faster processor (same insides as the 920, 925,928 etc), much nicer screen, twice as much ram, wireless charging, better camera, camera flash, etc. If you haven't gotten one yet, go with the 820.

lets see.. If your upgrade is next month wait for Lumia 525. It you come with latest updates out of box.

If Walking navigation is important to you, you have to get the 820 because the 520 does not have a compass.

The only thing that's puts me off the 520 is many people complain of internet explorer crashing and random restarts with crashing apps, if am one of the unlucky ones to get one of these buggy 520s then that puts me off totally...I mean what do you think part of the reason is that I'm leaving Android ? 520 user her. Bro 520 has 512 mb ram,same as 70% of other devices. I never had a single IE crash. Yep some app more like 1 or 2 crash while RESUMING. But not in active work.

Also if you are that much worried wait for 525 it will be available this month. Have 1 gb ram and same price point.

If your not that much of a selfie person and you want to explore a windows phone with a descent Camera apps, 512mb of ram and a 1430mah battery life which last for about a day then the Lumia 520 is just perfect for you but if you are a hardcore gamer or somekind of a rich person or a traveler then the 820 is the second choice.
