Switch to 3g mode and Restart your device.This works for me all the time. And some times you need to restart it couple of the times for it to work.

It would appear that even though the 521 has the right Frequencies on board, it is operating on the wrong Bands. In the US on T-Mobile, the 3G radio is tuned for AWS Band 4 which uplinks on 1700 and downlinks on 2100 MHz. Whereas Airtel India is looking for IMT Band 1 which uplinks on 1900 and downlinks on 2100 MHz. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMTS_frequency_bands#UMTS-FDD_Frequency_bands_and_channel_bandwidths I've got a question in on some chat channels about whether you can cross flash to a 520 ROM and get the radio you need...
