Lumia 521 says your phone is up to date.

I just did a hard reset and decided to update to amber, but every time I check for the update it says that my phone is already up to date. Prior to resetting my phone I was able to see the update. Is there any reason why its not showing now? Does it just need some time? What can I do?

What Os and Firmware version does it say under settings>about>more info ?

If it says 8.0.10328.78 and 3046.000.1328.2024 then you are up to date GDR2/Amber. If anything else then your phone did not update correctly.

You could manually update the phone the NCS or NSU but you will lose all your data from apps/games..

Yeah mine does not say that I'm on Firmware number 1030.6409.1316.0016. I have not tried updating since I can't even see the update. Could you help about manually updating it?

See software & firmware thread look like Nokia pulled the update for now, I am away from home and computer but if you follow where I have posted today you will find the instructions.

Has I stated above Nokia or T-Mobile pulled the GDR2/Amber update see software + firmware release thread. You can still update to gdr2/amber, because a few people posted links to where to get the rom. but you will have to manually flash your phone in order to use it.
