Hey guys I'm insider since August but the last week I saw many articles here at Windows central and at many others forums about the windows update. So it's official or it will come in the future? It worth to make the update ? My current version is 10.10586.164.So if I revert to w8.1 and then update to windows 10 it will be anything different?

1. the update is official. :)

2. well if you are happy with your current insider build thats the answer right there. :)

3. the build is the same as your insider build. you don't have to do anything in order to get official.
in future if you wish to get official builds, enter windows insiders and switch to production ring that way you will keep getting official updates without rolling back. :)

I have the 640 XL dual SIM. I rolled back to Windows 8.1 and took the official upgrade path through the Upgrade Advisor. I ran the Insider preview for about 4 months without ever doing a hard reset after upgrading from WP8.1 to Windows 10.

My understanding is that there aren't any differences in the OS between the Insider program and the official upgrade, but I have noticed some slight differences in some of the apps and settings. I think that just stems from me actually performing a hard reset before setting up my phone from scratch this time instead of using the remnants of my WP8.1 settings like I had done previously.
