WPCentral Question
Hi
I (from India) own a Lumia 720. my device is currently running on Windows phone 8.1 Developers preview. In last two weeks, I have started facing a random problem of the phone getting totally froze. The locked screen is continuously on and no keys work. The problem is to an extent that no soft or hard reset work to restart the phone. I only have to leave the phone for hours, so that the battery discharges on its own. Later, when plugged in for charging, the phone restarts normally. The biggest problem is that this happens very randomly, and at that point of time when you need your phone the most. For example, I had an appointment to meet some one, and cell phone number was the only way we would have been able to locate each other in busy streets of Mumbai. At that very moment, the phone froze, and there's nothing I can do about it. It is very frustrating, embarrassing and panic situation for me. While, I like everything else about Windows phone, this problem is turning me off with Windows phone. They seem to be highly undependable phones.
Apart from it, my volume down key is not working, I had replaced it once, but right on the same day it stopped working. At least with Windows 8.1, I am able to reduce the volume by volume bar.
Can anyone share thoughts and solution to these problems? Is it something to do with its 512 RAM?
