Lumia 720 photo size reduced

Hello, recently I noticed something about my photo size. When I got my lumia 720 running on WP 8.1 Preview for Developer (pre-Cyan), I took a picture and the size was about 2,3 MB. Then I upgraded my phone to Lumia Cyan and latest PFD version, I took a picture again and the size was just about 700 kB. Can anyone tell me which OS version that brings this change? I can't find the answer yet on internet. Is it because of Cyan update, latest PFD update, or Lumia Camera itself?

Note: I took a picture with rear camera and Lumia Camera apps on both conditions with resolution of 16:9

16:9 is not a resolution but an aspect ratio.

I don't think the update changed it, I think it was the way you moved those photos. (OneDrive can compress photos a little bit, Email compresses them a lot...)

Also, 16:9 is a little bit lower res than 4:3 IIRC.
