Lumia 820 battery drain so fast

Hi guys i'm newbie here, i've just owned a lumia 820 for a few days, and i updated it to windows phone 8.1. I'm quite satisfied with it but there is a pretty big problem. My phone's battery drain so fast, i have to charge it at least twice a day, it makes me very annoyed. Yesterday i make a factory reset for it, and the problem isn't solved. I played Temple Run 2 for 5-7 minutes and lost 2% of the battery. I stoped playing and didn't use it, after 20 mins it lost another 2%. 1 more things, when i play games the phone become so hot ( the hottest area is around the camera and the glass...)
Is there any big problem with my phone? And is there anything i can do to solve the battery problem? should i downgrade to 8.0? is there any risks to do it?

Battery is a widespread grievance and I would recommend you wait a few days before completely assessing battery life as it needs some time to settle.

You've hard reset already, so thats good - don't need to worry about that.

Also perform the standard battery saving stuff, turn off unwanted background tasks, etc.

The games are one of the most demanding task for any device, even more if is 3D, so it's normal if the phone gets hot, my Xperia SP gets hot too while playing games.

The L820 is know to have a rather mediocre battery life, but except that is a great phone. I recommend to take measures before playing like disabling WiFi, Bluetooth or the mobile data. Also disable any background task, there is many tutorials about getting more juice from the battery in WPC forums.
