What are these RM-985 stand for ?

Those RM numbers are used to distinguish between different Regions for the same device or carrier specific models.

I believe RM-984 is the International and RM-985 is the AT&T...

<edit> Nope, now I see on B&H that they have RM-985 unlocked and I don't think it is AT&T although it would work on there. Maybe a Latin American variant? RM-984 definitely has Euro compatible radios...

Hey AJ. I'm using the RM-985 on T-Mobile. Where I live I'm getting great Tmo LTE download/upload speeds all around. Very happy with this 830! Only this phone doesn't get Tmo 4G HD voice. Phone calls go to 3G. Not a big deal at all :smile:

RM-985 is the one you want for T-Mo. RM-984 has the wrong LTE radio for use in North America.

Except: If you leave a T-Mo LTE area then legacy frequencies are in place and the RM-985 does not support 1700 on the 3G so it falls to EDGE speeds...

Here's a screen of Tmo speeds I'm getting at the moment with the RM-985 830.



Where I live the 830 typically gets 35-45 Mbps download. 5-12 Mbps upload.
