Lumia 920 camera malfunctioning after WP8.1

Hello

I installed WP 8.1 on my Lumia 920 with AT&T about two weeks ago. And one week later, the cameras (both front and back) have started working improperly. The screen appears very dark when the camera is turned on. Even when I try to take picture of the sunlight using various apps, the camera shows it as dark. And after I press the button to take pics, the pic comes out pitch dark!

Any suggestions and help will be very much appreciated

I would first try some other camera apps and see if they give the same results you get from the one you've been using. If that's the case, the next step you should do is a soft reset (holding down the volume down and power button for approximately 10 seconds until the device vibrates). If that still doesn't fix it, I would perform a hard reset. I doubt it's a hardware issue, tbh, as it would be hell of a coincidence that both your cameras suffer the very same thing.
